Happy Summer Card

Happy Monday! I'm getting close to completing my 100 Day Project and wanted to share a card that I made last Friday.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches. I used my new Freckled Fawn embellishment kit for this card. I also used two separate stamps for the sentiment. This card was really easy to make. I used a washi stripe for the background and then punched a Project Life card using my circle punch. I adhered the circle with my Tombow Xtreme Adhesive glue runner. Then I adhered the resin flip flops to the circle and then added some pearl stickers. I wasn't sure what I wanted the sentiment to be, but ended up deciding to go with "Happy Summer". I used a Happy Birthday stamp that I have in my stash and made sure to only put ink on the word "Happy". Then I used the "Summer" stamp from my Studio Calico stamp set. Once I stamped my sentiment, I added a few more pearl stickers and then colored the word "Summer" with my colored pencils.

Supplies Used:

  • 2 1/2 circle punch
  • Stampabilities "Happy Birthday" stamp set
  • Tombow Xtreme Adhesive
  • Versafine Onyx Black Ink

Pineapple Greeting Card

Happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing a handmade greeting card that I made last week. I am getting really excited for Spring and Summer so I decided to make a greeting card that reminded me of Summer.

This card was really easy to make and took me less than 10 minutes to make. I got that pineapple sticker and the enamel dots from Michaels. The alpha stickers are from Freckled Fawn. I love how the alphas have two different colors. The white and gold is perfect. I decided to spell out "Hello" so that it would be perfect for any day.

This card is currently available in my shop. Don't forget that you can get 30% off your order in my shop with the code LUCKY. The code is valid until March 31, 2017.

Supplies Used:
  • Enamel Dots
  • Pineapple Gemstone Sticker
  • Freckled Fawn Alpha Stickers

Handmade Happy Anniversary Cards

Hello! Today, I'm sharing some handmade anniversary cards that I made during the weekend. I used Crate Paper's Hello Love collection to make a couple of cards. The Hello Love collection is definitely Valentine's Day themed, but there are still a lot of pieces that can be used for other types of cards like anniversary cards. Check out the anniversary cards below.

You can find these cards here and here. Be sure to check out my shop for more cards.

Have you used the Hello Love collection by Crate Paper?

Happy Anniversary Card

Happy Thursday! So as you may know, I subscribe to the Freckled Fawn embellishment kit. I absolutely love Freckled Fawn and their products. This month's kit is really adorable, but I will admit that I immediately knew that this kit would be a challenge for me to use. The main reason is that the kit has a lot of pink products. I don't normally use a lot of pink in my projects and usually when I do, it's for Valentine's Day cards and layouts.

I was inspired by this month's sketch challenge and the Washi Die Cutting technique. Instead of making a heart shape, I just decided to make a "die cut" circle. To make my circle, I used my Simple Stories circle crop and then used a pencil and a X-acto knife. You could also use a die cutting machine as well. After making the circle, I used some washi strips from the washi book to cover the entire base of my card and then cut the excess strips off. I also used my X-acto knife to cut out the strips that covered the circle. To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment and adhered the white glitter bow to the top.

Supplies Used:
  • X-acto Knife
  • Pencil
  • Tombow Xtreme Adhesive Tape Runner

Do you subscribe to Freckled Fawn? What did you think of this month's kit?

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...

*This is not a sponsored post and I am not a sponsor of Freckled Fawn. I just really love their products and kits.*

Feminist Greeting Cards

Happy Wednesday! Last weekend, I made some handmade greeting cards.

I wanted to make some feminist greeting cards and decided to use one of my favorite stamp sets. The Lady Stamp Set from Rukristin is perfect for making feminist greeting cards and other projects. I decided to keep the cards clean and simple. I just used black ink and then stamped the words onto the cardstock. I plan on making a few more card sets as well as some individual cards for my shop.

Supplies Used:
  • Cardstock
  • Black Ink

Handmade Greeting Cards

Hello! I recently made a bunch of Fall and Thank You cards. The "Thank You" cards are geared towards teachers and school bus drivers. You may have seen the cards on my Instagram, but I thought I would share them here as well.

I used a bunch of embellishments from a previous Freckled Fawn kit as well as some patterned paper in my stash. How cute is that Owl? If you click on the picture, you can see that the enamel dots have glitter in them.

I also used some Freckled Fawn embellishments and patterned paper on this card. I really like the colors on this card. The striped alpha letters are so adorable and add just a bit of dimension.

School has already started where I live so I was inspired to make a batch of cards for teachers and school bus drivers. I used my Hero Arts sentiment stamp set and some chipboard stickers from Me & My Big Ideas. I just simply placed the sticker in the center and then stamped the sentiment beneath it.

I made a couple of sets of "Thank You" cards for teachers...it's perfect for those who have various teachers to thank. I love the apple stickers. They even have glitter on them, but the glitter does not come off!

You can find all of these cards in my shop.

Handmade Cards-May 2016 Freckled Fawn Kit

Happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I received my National Scrapbook Day prize package about a little over a week ago and decided to make some cards. I also used the May "Bloom" Freckled Fawn kit.

I really like how this card turned out. I love the white and pink pearls and the hint of cork just makes the card pop. This is my second favorite card out of the bunch.

I used a Pebbles card base for the card above. I do want to note that I had a bit of a hard time deciding how to use the resin flowers that were included in the kit. I don't use resin items often mainly because I can never figure out which type of glue would work well. I ended up using my Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and Tombow Xtreme Adhesive Tape to adhere the resin flowers onto the card. I'm happy to say that it worked!

I was inspired by Sandra over at Mojosanti. She made some really cute cards using Freckled Fawn's kit. You can check out the cards that she made here.

I really love that the papers in the Amy Tangerine paper pad and the items in May's Freckled Fawn kit coordinate very well. My favorite card is the one with the floral background. That paper is just gorgeous!

Birthday Cards-Simple Stories Birthday Pack

Hey! Hey! It's been a while since I made some birthday cards so I took some time to make a bunch. It didn't take too long to make these cards and they are super simple to make. *This post may be a bit photo heavy due to the amount of cards that I made.*

To make my cards, I used white and kraft card bases. I adhered 3x4 and 4x6 cards to the bases, but I did trim the 4x6 cards so that they would fit on the bases. Then I added some stickers, enamel dots, and a die cut onto the cards.

Supplies Used:

  • Simple Stories Birthday Pack
  • Simple Stories Birthday Stickers
  • Recollections enamel dots
  • American Crafts This to That Glue Runner
  • Recollections white and kraft cards

Handmade Greeting Cards-Fine and Dandy Collection

Hey! Hey! I made some cards a few weeks ago and meant to post them when I first made them, but I have been a bit busy. So I'm sharing them today.

As you can see I only used Dear Lizzy's Fine and Dandy collection. This collection is awesome. At first glance, you would immediately think that it is just a birthday theme collection, but you can make so many other non birthday projects and cards. My favorite card out of the bunch is the card that says "Have Fun Ok!"

The Best Thing About Me Is You Card

Happy Hump Day! The week is halfway over! Today, I'm here to share a card that I made over the weekend. I am still working on using up a bunch of my stash. I am still in disbelief that I have a ton of Freckled Fawn items from previous kits. Yes, I am still working on March and April of 2015 kits.

I decided that I wanted to try making watercolor cards so I purchased some cards from Hobby Lobby. I know that I can just make my own cards, but I love Strathmore and their products so imagine my surprise when I found out that they make cards too.

To make this card, I stamped my image using Ranger archival ink. Then I used my Sakura Koi watercolors to paint a couple of words. I painted "best", "thing", "me", and "you" in various colors. Then I added some embellishments that would match the watercolors.

Aren't those enamel banners and hearts just the cutest? I think that adding the watercolors makes the sentiment pop since only a few of the words are colored in.

Hello Cards--Garden Party

Happy Wednesday! I have been trying to use up a lot of my supplies especially my Freckled Fawn kits. I have been subscribing to Freckled Fawn for a little over a year now and I still have items from every single one of the kits that I received. This is awesome because it means that these kits really can be used on various projects. In an attempt to try and use up my kits, I have been making lots of cards, tags, Project Life cards, and scrapbook layouts. Today, I want to share a couple of cards that I made using a previous Freckled Fawn kit and the Garden Party paper pad that I found at Tuesday Morning.

Can you believe that both of these cards were made primarily with one page from the 6x6 paper pad. I used a polka dot paper from the pad as the background for the card on the left and then used the remaining cut apart paper on it. I added some heart shaped enamel dots and some some thickers to spell out "Hello". Most of the cut apart paper is used on the card on the right. I added a butterfly shaped wood veneer and some yellow puffy stickers to make the card pop. Below are close ups of the cards.

I love the heart shaped enamel dots on this card. I think the April 2015 Freckled Fawn kit and the Garden Party paper pad really coordinates perfectly.

I absolutely love the cut apart paper! I decided to primarily use it on this card and once I trimmed the paper to fit the card, I noticed that I had some leftovers which is why I used the rest on the other card. Since part of the images were cut, I decided to simply add a wood veneer butterfly to one of the rectangles. To add a pop of color, I used some yellow puffy stickers to spell out the "Hi" sentiment.

These cards just scream Spring and I love it. Normally, I am not too into florals and plants in my cards and other projects, but I'm starting to have a change of heart. Don't be surprised if you see more florals and plants in a few more projects.

Supplies Used:

  • Garden Party 6x6 Paper Pad
  • Freckled Fawn-April 2015 Kit
  • American Crafts Blooms Thickers
  • Tombow Mini Power Tape
Do you like florals and plants? Are you glad that Spring is finally here?

3 Hello Cards and a I Love You Card

Happy Saturday! Today, I want to share a few cards that I recently made.

I have been trying to use my stash rather purchasing more scrapbooking and crafting stuff. Even though I did purchase a few things recently, all of these cards were made using primarily items in my stash.

Each of the cards have a felt embellishment in the center. I don't normally use felt in my projects, but I was glad that they already came with an adhesive on the back. For this card, I used some enamel dots and yellow puffy stickers. You can't tell by the picture, but the white enamel dots actually have a bit of glitter.

I have been loving using green and blue in my projects. I think the yellow button is random, but catches your attention. I love how the circle and triangle enamel stickers almost blend into the paper.

This card may just be one of my favorite ones out of the batch. I love the pops of yellow and white.

I'm not sure how I really feel about this last card. I actually wanted to use some blue puffy stickers, but I did not have enough letters. So instead of going out to my local craft store or ordering online, I just decided to use what I already had.

Supplies Used:
  • Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine 6x6 paper pad
  • Studio Calico Wanderlust 6x6 paper pad
  • Recollections Boho Stickers
  • Recollections Valentine's Day Enamel Stickers
  • Freckled Fawn March 2015 Kit
  • Freckled Fawn April 2015 Kit
What have you been making?

Carnival Birthday Card

Hello! The circus is coming to town and since I love the circus and carnivals, I decided to make a carnival/circus themed birthday card.

I used a white card base and then adhered the dimensional ferris wheel and the stars. Then I added the washi tape at the bottom. That washi tape is awesome and definitely one of my top favorite washi tapes. I used a cut out sentiment and used my Tim Holtz distress markers to color in the letters. I made sure to use colors that matched the washi tape and the stickers.

I love the bright colors on this card and I love the ready-stamped greeting. It was so convenient to have and I loved that I didn't have to worry about selecting embellishments to spell out the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
  • Scotch Expressions Washi Tape-Carnival
  • Michaels Recollections Carnival Themed Stickers
  • Tim Holtz Distress Markers
  • Sweet Sentiments Cut Outs from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine
Would you rather go to the circus or a carnival? Which one is your favorite?

Princess Birthday Card

Hello! Happy Monday! So I took a break from making Valentine's Day cards and made some more birthday cards. You can never have too many birthday cards. When I saw a bunch of princess themed embellishments in my stash, I knew that they would be perfect for birthday cards. I immediately thought of my niece because I call her Princess Gen.

I used some papers from Crate Paper's Hello Love. I love that there are small pink hearts mixed in the polka dots. I used a sentiment that came in a few pack with a magazine that I purchased. The circle embellishments and the unicorn came from a Pink Paisley Bella Rouge chipboard sticker pack. Unfortunately, I can't remember where the Princess embellishment came from.

I can't wait to give my niece this card. I may even give it to her before it's her birthday. I think the sentiment could definitely work as an everyday, thinking of you, or just hoping you have a great day card rather than the obvious birthday card.

Supplies Used:
  • Crate Paper Hello Love
  • Pink Paislee Bella Rouge Chipboard Sticker

Cards for Friends and Family

Hello! I have been busy making a lot of cards these past few weeks. Most of the cards that I have been making are Valentine's Day cards, but I did manage to make a batch of non-Valentine's Day cards.

A few days ago, I made four cards using items from Dear Lizzy, American Crafts, and Me & My Big Ideas. Most of the cards that I made can be sent to friends, but a couple could also be sent to family members as well.

I think the "With Love" card is my favorite out of the bunch. I love the chipboard mason jar and flowers. I wanted to use the enamel dots in the same size, but ran out. So I decided to use smaller enamel dots on the top right side and some medium size enamel dots on the lower left side.

I was originally going to just stick the square embellishment onto the card, but worried that it would look too plain. I ended up asking my husband if he liked the card with or without the doily and he said he liked it with the doily. So I ended up adhering the doily onto the card.

I really love the stitched tag on this card. One of these days, I'm going to try and stitch on my crafts, but for now I am loving the tags that I got in a mason jar from Tuesday Morning. I added some foam flowers and butterflies to complete the card.

I used another foam butterfly on this card as well as some embellishments from a Me & My Big Ideas embellishment pack. I really love the "Hello friend" layered embellishment.

I can't wait to mail these cards off to a couple of friends and family. Hopefully, they will love it.

Valentine's Day Cards Part IV

Hello! I have been sharing Valentine's Day cards that I have been making over the past few weeks. You can check my previous cards herehere, and here. Today, I want to share another batch of cards that I made.

I made three cards a few days ago, using supplies that I have had for a long time. The only items that were new are the papers from Crate Paper's new line, Hello Love and my Recollections Valentine's Day stamp set.

I really, really love this card. As soon as I saw that "Owl always love you!" sentiment, I knew that I would have to add an owl. Luckily, I still have all of the owl wood veneers that I got in a previous Freckled Fawn kit. I also used some puffy stickers that I received in a RAK/Swap group that I am in.

I decided to keep this card a bit simple and just add a few word strips and some glitter hearts. I also added a felt border strip at the top. I am still trying to get used to using felt in my projects. It's not my favorite item to work with, but I'm trying to challenge myself to make projects with items that I do not normally use.

For my last card, I wanted to use pink, red, and black on my card. I ended up using some pink hearts at the top. I love that the colors look like watercolors. Then I added a "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment in the middle of the card. At the bottom of the card, I used some more puffy stickers as well as a rubber sticker. Using rubber stickers is another item that I normally do not work with, but I'm very glad that I did.

You may notice that I have been using my February 2015 Freckled Fawn a lot. I have been holding onto this kit because I love so many of the items, but I really need to start using them instead of just letting them sit on my desk.
