Happy Thursday! I cannot believe that it's already October. The 30 Days of Lists challenge ended last week. I had so much fun working in my little book. Using minimal supplies and keeping things simple really helped me complete the challenge.

As promised, below is the last set of my lists.

I can't wait for the next round of 30 Days of Lists.

30 Days of Lists - September 2019 - Lists 1-15

Happy Wednesday! It's been a while since I posted about 30 Days of Lists. This challenge started on September 1st, and as always, it's been so much fun working on my lists. As you may know, 30 Days of Lists happens three times a year. You are given a prompt for 30 days, and you can complete each prompt in any way you want. There is no right or wrong way to complete the challenge. You can make it as simple or complex as you like.

This time, I decided to use a mini daybook by Amy Tangerine. I also used some label stickers and icon stickers from The Happy Planner sticker books. This little project is so easy, and it only takes me about 5 minutes to complete each prompt. I even prepped my notebook by sticking the list of prompts on the inside cover of my daybook. Then I added the labels with the prompts. I added the icon stickers as bullet points. The only thing that I have to do is simply add my responses.

I've been sharing my lists on Instagram but decided to share them on the blog as well. Today I'm sharing lists 1-15.

Please note that this is a very photo-heavy post.

Are you participating in 30 Days of Lists? Be sure to come back for the next set of lists.

This is Everything Project Life Layout

It's been a while since I made and shared a Project Life layout. I used the Little Details Mini Kit from Life Love Paper for both of my Project Life Layouts. The majority of the embellishments came from two previous Freckled Fawn embellishment kits.

For my first layout, I documented a day at the park with my boys. It was the first weekend of Summer break, and we were so excited to go to the playground. We went to the park in the morning before it got way too hot.

For my second layout, I documented a trip to the Marietta Pizza Company. It was Raphael's first time, so we were all excited to take him there. If you are ever in town, you have got to try Marietta Pizza Company. The pizza is delicious, and John loves the spinach and mushroom calzone.

We've been having a blast this Summer, and I'm loving documenting our adventures. I can't wait to make more Project Life layouts.

How are you going to document your Summer adventures?

Little Moments Traveler's Notebook

Happy Wednesday! I recently completed my Little Moments Traveler's Notebook. I had so much fun documenting little moments. I think it's so important to remember the little moments because they are part of our story.

I started this traveler's notebook in February. I loved that I decided not to try to complete this notebook in a set amount of time. I made layouts whenever I felt like it and documented random things like shows I watched, Target finds, family days, and adventures. The layouts are not in chronological order, but I did use my date stamp on several of the pages so I wouldn't forget when the events took place.

I had so much fun working on this traveler's notebook. It was great to use a lot of my scrapbooking and crafting stash on this little project.

*Please note that this is a photo-heavy post.*

I love how my traveler's notebook turned out. I learned a few things about working in my traveler's notebook insert. One thing that I learned is not to use bulky embellishments when working in a travelers notebook. Even though I love that my notebook is chunky, it started to get a bit hard to work in it. In the future, I plan to use flat embellishments and my stamps whenever I scrapbook in my traveler's notebook inserts.

How do you document your little moments?

Enjoy Today Layout

It's been a while since I made a 6x8 scrapbook layout. Honestly, I really enjoy creating smaller sized scrapbook layouts. It's easier and takes less time to create. I love Crate Paper's All Heart collection, so I decided to use several items from the collection on this layout. I also used a few pieces from Freckled Fawn and Pinkfresh Studio. The rainbow die cut is from a pack of Amy Tangerine ephemera. I love that the words "Enjoy Today" are in gold foil.

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Downtown Smyrna and found a beautiful piano. Of course, I took a photo of it and knew that I wanted to document it in a layout. Finding this piano made me want to explore my city more and discover more hidden (and not so hidden) gems.

What are you currently working on? Have you gone on any adventures?

International Scrapbook Day

International Scrapbook Day was on May 4 and I decided to make a scrapbook layout and a few travelers notebook layouts to celebrate the day. It felt really great to work on some scrapbook layouts because I haven't made any in a long time.

I primarily used Amy Tangerine's Shine On collection for these layouts. The stickers in the sticker book were perfect for each of my layouts. I especially loved the bunny stickers and used them on an Easter themed layout.

Check out the layouts as well as a few close-ups below.

Did you make anything on International Scrapbook Day?

A Creative Evolution

I've just recently realized that I am going through a season of change and evolution. This is especially true with my art and writing. I've noticed these changes thanks to the current season of Get Messy. This month's theme is Season of Failure. I'm really enjoying this season and have slowly been working on some projects. I have not been creating every day. However, when I do, I have been gravitating towards techniques and items that I do not normally use. Honestly, it's been hard to try new things and use some of the products that I recently purchased. I wouldn't say that I'm a hoarder, but I've definitely been holding on to some art and craft supplies that were just too perfect to use.

This season of Get Messy has made me use those items and things that I probably wouldn't ever use. A few days ago, I made a layout using Crate Paper's latest collection, All Heart. The collection is gorgeous and is chock full of things that I don't normally use in my papercraft and journaling. If you've seen my layouts then you would know that I rarely use florals, pastels, and soft colors in my projects.  I tend to use bright and colorful products. But I decided to just let go and try a bunch of new stuff. Creativity takes courage.

Below is the layout that I made.

I used so many things that I rarely use in this layout. This was the first time that I used lace in a project. I also chose to use a kraft colored patterned paper from the All Heart 6x8 paper pad. There's also quite a bit of pink in this layout. I usually avoid using all of these things in my projects. I even used two selfies. If you know me then you know that I don't take a lot of selfies. In fact, I did not like how those two photos turned out. However, I decided to use them anyways.

As always, I added journaling and used my date stamp. I don't think that will ever change. It's just part of my style and is essential to my work.

The journaling says:

I am going through a season of change. I've been evolving especially when it comes to my art and writing. This evolution is good and so needed in my life, but it has been so intimidating. It's been somewhat difficult, but I'm so glad that I'm letting go and taking risks. It's been a learning experience and one that I don't regret.

I added a quote by Frida Kahlo. She is my favorite artist of all time. Lately, I've been so inspired by her work. Frida forever!

Have you ever noticed that you have been evolving? Have you ever gone through a season of change? Did you embrace it?

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...

Christmas Layouts

Happy Wednesday! I'm so close to finishing all of my Christmas projects. Today I'm sharing two Christmas layouts that I recently made.

I used some older Christmas scrapbook and craft supplies that I had. I tried very hard not to purchase new Christmas supplies. One of my goals is to use a lot of supplies from my stash in my projects instead of purchasing new supplies.

Making both of these layouts was very simple. I used some papers from a Christmas themed paper pad for the first layout. Then I used some embellishments from a previous Freckled Fawn December/Christmas themed embellishment kit. I also added some enamel dots and stickers. I loved using a black and white photo of my husband and sons. I think the scrapbook items makes the photo "pop".

Below is a close up of the layout.

Those puffy alpha stickers and layered stickers are so cute. I also love the chipboard stickers. I was surprised that I was able to get a photo of the boys looking at the camera. Sometimes it's a bit hard to get them to all look at the camera at the same time.

I took a photo of my mami's Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. The boys and I love how she decorates her tree. The boys were so excited to find candy canes on the tree.

This second layout was also very simple to make. I added my journaling onto a jumbo tag and then decorated the layout with some cardstock embellishments and some enamel dots.

Below is a close up of the layout.

Overall, I really like how these layouts turned out. The past few weeks have been busy so I knew that I would have to make my layouts and projects very simple. I actually kind of prefer making simple layouts because it's not time consuming.

How did you document your December? Are you almost done with your December projects?
