Happy Tuesday! Autumn is over and Winter is here, but I finally finished working in my Autumn Stories travelers notebook.
Spring used to be my favorite season when I was younger, but Autumn is now my favorite. Everything about Autumn is just amazing. I love the cooler weather, the seasonal drinks and treats, and all of the events that takes place during this season. This autumn was very special and memorable because it was Raphael's first autumn. We were all excited to make new memories with him and celebrate the season.
I had so much fun working in this travelers notebook and documenting the season. I really love how it turned out.
Please note that this is a very photo heavy post.
The lighting was not so great in some of photos so I apologize for that. The weather has been a bit gloomy and we are just now starting to have some sunny, but cool weather after days of rain. The majority of the items that I used came from Freckled Fawn. The rest of the supplies came from my scrapbooking stash.
How did you document your Autumn?
Thanks for visiting!
Until next time...

Hello! We still have a few days left of summer and I thought it would be fun to share this project. You may have read in previous posts that I was making a Summer Stories travelers notebook and planned to document my summer stories and adventures. I finally completed this little project and I'm so happy with how it turned out.
Please be warned that this is a photo heavy post.
The lighting was not so great in some of my photos so I apologize for that. The majority of the supplies that I used came from Freckled Fawn. The rest of the supplies are from my scrapbooking stash.

My Sweet Darling Scrapbook Layout
Happy Thursday! Lately, I have been using lots of sketches to make layouts and I am loving it. Today I'm sharing my take on a Citrus Twist sketch challenge. Below is the actual sketch.
*Please note that since I am a Freckled Fawn brand ambassador, any purchases made using the link(s) above will help support The Emi Times.*
For this layout, I used a photo of my husband. I love when I capture photos of my family while they are not looking at the camera. I really love this photo so I knew that I had to use it on my layout.
I decided to keep this layout simple and used a few items in my stash. Since the sketch has several hearts going down the page, I knew that the transparency die cut hearts from the January 2016 Freckled Fawn embellishment kit would be perfect for the layout. To adhere the hearts, I used my Tombow Xtreme Adhesive glue runner. Then I used the same adhesive on my photo and placed it on top of the hearts. Once I had my hearts and the photo adhered, I added the Tim Holtz sticker phrases and the Amy Tangerine puffy heart and word stickers. I also used some alpha stickers to spell out the word "My" since I didn't want my title to simply be "Sweet Darling". Then I added some sequin stickers and then added the date to my layout. Below is another look at my layout.
I really loved using this sketch because I was able to use so many items in my stash. I have had a hard time using up a lot of my transparency heart die cuts so it was nice to finally put them to use.
Supplies Used:
- Freckled Fawn embellishment kit (January 2016 kit)
- Recollections sequin stickers
- Date stamp
- Alpha Stickers
- Tombow Xtreme Adhesive glue runner
Do you use sketches when creating layouts or other projects? What have you been documenting?

A Fun Day Scrapbook Layout
Happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing a layout I made using Freckled Fawn's July 2017 embellishment kit. I also used the June 2017 embellishment kit. This month's kit is full of adorable embellishments and it's perfect for documenting your Summer stories.
My wedding anniversary was on July 20 so I just had to document the day. The boys and I decided to visit John while he was at work. There's a restaurant nearby that he loves so it was the perfect opportunity to buy him a gift card there as a wedding anniversary gift. Since the area is "new" to us, the boys and I decided to go for a walk and explore all of the shops.
I loved combining both the June and July kits. Both of these kits are Summer themed and coordinate very well. The chipboard word phrases and the pearl stickers are from the June 2017 kit. The rest of the embellishments are from this month's kit.
I don't normally use rubber embellishments, but I am loving the doodle phrase rubber shapes. I may just have to order an extra pack of the rubber embellishments. I love this month's washi tape. It has several phrases and the font is so cute. I chose four phrases and added them below my photo. Then I added some of the pearl stickers on each end of the washi tape. The transparency alpha stickers are so awesome. I really think that the font that was chosen for the stickers and washi tape is so cool. I knew I would have a hard time using the chipboard stickers from July's kit, but I just had to use the banner sticker on this layout.
This layout was so much fun to make and is now one of my favorite layouts. I can't wait to continue to document my Summer adventures and stories.
How are you documenting your Summer?

Having Fun Together Scrapbook Layout
Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing my take on Freckled Fawn's July Sketch Challenge. I was so inspired by how Megan used her frames so I decided to use the frames as well. I had been struggling to find a way to use up the frames that came in a previous kit.
I decided to document our day at Six Flags. I tend to take lots of photos of my boys and husband so a lot of times I am not in the pictures. A really nice employee offered to take a couple of photos of us with Daffy Duck so I knew that I had to use the photo in a layout.
I picked a few of the frames and adhered them together onto the cardstock. Then I added my photo. Once my photo was in place, I added the chipboard letters that spells out "Together" and then added my journaling. Then I just simply added the rest of the embellishments.
I don't normally use rubber embellishments in my projects, but I am loving the new rubber shape embellishments that came in this month's kit.

I really loved using the sketch because I was able to quickly put this layout together. I think sketches are also great when you have no idea how to use a specific product or when you're suffering from "creative block".

- Freckled Fawn pearl stickers
- Ruler

Happy Summer Card
Happy Monday! I'm getting close to completing my 100 Day Project and wanted to share a card that I made last Friday.
I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches. I used my new Freckled Fawn embellishment kit for this card. I also used two separate stamps for the sentiment. This card was really easy to make. I used a washi stripe for the background and then punched a Project Life card using my circle punch. I adhered the circle with my Tombow Xtreme Adhesive glue runner. Then I adhered the resin flip flops to the circle and then added some pearl stickers. I wasn't sure what I wanted the sentiment to be, but ended up deciding to go with "Happy Summer". I used a Happy Birthday stamp that I have in my stash and made sure to only put ink on the word "Happy". Then I used the "Summer" stamp from my Studio Calico stamp set. Once I stamped my sentiment, I added a few more pearl stickers and then colored the word "Summer" with my colored pencils.

I don't normally use paper clips, but these paper clips are awesome! I think they will be perfect in my Project Life album. I also don't use a lot of resin embellishments, but I think I may make my own paper clips using the resin hearts. I love that this kit has a few items that I don't normally use because it will challenge me to get out of my creative comfort zone and try new things.
And now for the exciting announcement...I am now a Freckled Fawn brand ambassador! I have been such a big fan of Freckled Fawn and have subscribed for a couple of years now. I absolutely love making projects using Freckled Fawn products.

Project Life Update
Happy Thursday! I have been slacking off with Project Life. I haven't made any Project Life layouts since early January, but you may have noticed that I have been making a lot of 8.5x11 scrapbook layouts. I plan to start a new Project Life album starting in July, but I'm going to try to keep it simple. My goal for this project is to just document my Summer rather than making it a year long project.
Normally, I use 12x12 Project Life albums, but I am going to use a 6x8 album. I also plan to use my Freckled Fawn embellishment kits. I still have a lot of kits to use up so this will be a great chance to try and use up some of the embellishments. I'm also going to use an old Studio Calico Project Life kit that I bought during one of their sales.
These are the items that I received in the Studio Calico kit. As you can see I have already used some of the items, but I still have a bunch left. I'm hoping to use the entire kit in July. I can't wait to see how this album turns out.
Are you going to work on any projects in July? If so, what do you plan to do or make?

The Sweet Life Layout
Happy Saturday! Today I want to share a layout I made of some fruit cups that I bought from Edible Arrangements. It was my first time going to Edible Arrangements so I just had to document my first trip there.
To make this layout, I adhered my photo and a cut apart from an Amy Tangerine paper pad onto my cardstock. I used some transparency die cuts from my Freckled Fawn kit and adhered them using my Tombow Xtreme Adhesive tape runner. Once I had my die cuts in place, I added a resin grapefruit and a sticky note tab. I used my ruler to add some journaling lines and then added my journaling. I decided to add a wood veneer square to balance the layout. Since the middle of the square wood veneer has a star, I knew that I wanted to add either washi tape or patterned paper to the center. I ended up using the washi tape that is included in the kit. I simply put some washi tape on some scrap photo paper and then adhered it to my wood square. Then I glued the square to the cardstock.
The journaling says "I wanted to get a smoothie from Edible Arrangements since they were having a sale for National Smoothie Day. Unfortunately my local store doesn't sell them so instead I bought 4 fruit cups for $2.00 each. I will definitely have to go back and try some other fruits! Definitely a fan now!"

#Winning Layout
Happy Wednesday! A couple of weeks ago, my family and I went to Dave & Buster's. It was so hard to take some photos because my boys would not stand still. They were so excited to play some games, so I was only able to get about three clear photos. I had to make a layout using one of the photos so I chose the best photo that I captured.
I was inspired by Eyoung Lee's scrapbook layout and decided to make a similar layout. Instead of using stamps, I decided to use some washi strips from Freckled Fawn's Iconic kit. Most of the supplies used in this layout came from this kit.
Once I placed the washi strips on the page, I adhered my photo using some foam dots. The dots added a bit of dimension. Then I began to place the embellishments near the washi strips. Since I used a Freckled Fawn kit, I didn't have to worry about matching the embellishments to the strips. I did add a few enamel dots from some Recollections enamel dot packs. I also used my Crate Paper Oasis stamp set for part of my title. I used the hashtag stamp since I didn't have a hashtag sticker.
Then I added my journaling and colored the stickers. As usual, I finished the layout by stamping the date on the bottom right corner of the layout.
It was so much fun adding all of the small embellishments onto the page. I really love how all of the colors pop.
Have you been to Dave & Buster's?
