Love Birds Tags

Hey! Hey! Happy Thursday! Today, I'm going to share some tags that I made using a new (to me at least) stamp set that I purchased at Tuesday Morning.

I decided that I wanted to experiment a bit with some of the pink inks that I have as well as use my Ranger ink in Black Jet. So I chose to test them out on some tags rather than risk wasting any larger sized paper. I'm definitely still learning about which inks work with different types of paper. I'm still loving my Ranger ink as well as my StazOn ink (not used or pictured in this photo and experiment).

To make these tags, I just put some washi tape down and then cut the excess off. Then I stamped the little birds. To complete the look, I just added a heart at the top, but I used different colors and inks for the heart. I really like how the black ink looks and I also like the middle card that is on the bottom.

Supplies:

  • Manila Tags
  • Hampton Art Stamp Set
  • Ranger Ink-Jet Black
  • Heidi Swapp Dye Ink- Pink
  • Freckled Fawn washi tape
  • Hero Arts Ink
These tags were very easy to make and I plan on experimenting more with my other inks soon.

Cards for Friends and Family

Hello! I have been busy making a lot of cards these past few weeks. Most of the cards that I have been making are Valentine's Day cards, but I did manage to make a batch of non-Valentine's Day cards.

A few days ago, I made four cards using items from Dear Lizzy, American Crafts, and Me & My Big Ideas. Most of the cards that I made can be sent to friends, but a couple could also be sent to family members as well.

I think the "With Love" card is my favorite out of the bunch. I love the chipboard mason jar and flowers. I wanted to use the enamel dots in the same size, but ran out. So I decided to use smaller enamel dots on the top right side and some medium size enamel dots on the lower left side.

I was originally going to just stick the square embellishment onto the card, but worried that it would look too plain. I ended up asking my husband if he liked the card with or without the doily and he said he liked it with the doily. So I ended up adhering the doily onto the card.

I really love the stitched tag on this card. One of these days, I'm going to try and stitch on my crafts, but for now I am loving the tags that I got in a mason jar from Tuesday Morning. I added some foam flowers and butterflies to complete the card.

I used another foam butterfly on this card as well as some embellishments from a Me & My Big Ideas embellishment pack. I really love the "Hello friend" layered embellishment.

I can't wait to mail these cards off to a couple of friends and family. Hopefully, they will love it.

Halloween Greeting Cards and Tags

Happy Sunday! Today, I made a couple of cards and tags. It took me less than an hour to make these tags and cards. I honestly think it did not take so long because I knew exactly what I wanted to use on my tags and cards so I didn't feel overwhelmed by having a lot of products in front of me.

The tags were very simple to make. I just used my Freckled Fawn stamp set, Ranger Archival Ink pad, and some enamel dots. I recommend that you stamp your image on some scrap paper first so that you know how you should stamp your image onto your project.

The cards were also simple to make. I decided to use two of the tags that I made for part of my card. To make the cards, I used some washi tape and applied it to the middle of my card. I took the string off the tag and then added a brad onto each of tag. Then I used some foam dots on the back of the tags and stuck them to the center of the card. Below are a few close ups of the cards.

I plan to make a few more batches of Halloween cards and tags as well as some other Fall themed cards.

Supplies Used:

  • American Crafts DIY Shop kraft tags
  • Recollections Enamel Dots
  • Halloween Washi Tape
  • Crate Paper After Dark Accent Stickers
  • American Crafts Elements-Halloween Brads
  • Freckled Fawn October 2014 stamp
What have you been making?
