Target Finds

Happy Wednesday! It's been a while since I shared an edition of Target Finds. I'm not sure if I will be posting a new edition every month. For the past few months, I've been buying just the necessities. I've also been taking advantage of the Target Drive-Up. So I haven't actually been inside Target in a while. This is both good and bad. It's good that I've only been buying the necessities which have obviously saved me a lot of money, but bad (I guess) because I haven't really found anything new.

However, on a recent trip to Target, I did go inside and found a few things that I loved. Plus, every item that I purchased was on my to-buy list...so yay me!

Women's S Sport by Skechers Loop Spacedye Heathered Sneakers (Gray)

I really needed a new pair of sports shoes, and since I've been avoiding the mall, I decided to check out Target for some sneakers. I found some Skechers, and they are so comfortable. They were reasonably priced, and the color of the sneakers so cute.

The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks

The Wedding is supposed to be a sequel to The Notebook. I never read the Notebook, but I have watched the movie. The Wedding focuses on the life of Noah and Allie's daughter, Jane and her husband, Wilson. Wilson tries to win back his wife while planning their daughter's wedding.

I haven't read the book yet, but I can't wait to read it. I plan on writing a review as soon as I finish reading it, so look out for that.

Your Life Is a Life of Hope! by Lord Birthday

Your Life Is a Life of Hope is a book of short, illustrated essays. It's been on my to-buy list for a long time, and I finally decided to buy it after getting a Target offer on books.

I still haven't read this book yet, but I plan to soon. I'll share a review as soon as I'm done reading the book.

Room Essentials 6 pack washcloths

This is a bit random, but I stocked up on some washcloths and rags for the kitchen and bathroom. I'm trying to stop using a lot of paper towels to clean up minor spills. These washcloths are so soft but durable. They were also reasonably priced for the amount that came in the pack.

Cosmopolitan Magazine (June 2020 Issue)

I haven't bought a magazine in a long time, but there was an offer on the Target app. I decided to buy it for some light reading.

What are some of your favorite Target finds?

If You and I Had Coffee

If you and I had coffee...

We'd most likely meet via Zoom. This damn pandemic sucks. I'd love actually to sit in a coffee shop, but that's ok. At least we can still chat and see eachother...even if it's not in person. You'd most likely see me with an iced coffee and a pastry. I've been devouring so many baked goods. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I've been drinking a lot of iced coffee.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I'm so excited that the school (online classes) will finally be out soon. The boys have worked so hard. We missed their teachers so much.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I'm slowly getting over this creative block. I've worked in my journal a few times. It's been so comforting to work with pretty paper. I've also been working on some blog posts as well. I'm hoping to work on some other pieces soon.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I've been listening to so much music. Music is one of the things that have been comforting me during this pandemic. It's been great discovering new (and new-to-me) songs and artists. If you have any playlists, songs, etc. that you recommend, please let me know.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I met Mami and my younger sister at Mami's house. I was supposed to drop off a couple of things of Mami's that she left at my place. What should have been just a quick 10-minute visit ended up being about an hour and a half visit (don't worry...we did the whole 6 feet distance). It was so good to see them in person. We laughed so much. It was just what I needed.

What would you tell me?

Until next time...

May Goals

Happy Monday! I'm a bit late with sharing my goals for the month, but I'm trying to give myself some grace. I've been dealing with a major creative slump for weeks now, and I'm slowly getting over it.

Well, let's check out which goals I accomplished last month, which ones I didn't, and my new goals for May.

Recap of April Goals
  • Read 5 books: I read over 10 books in April. One thing about the pandemic that has been positive is that I have read so many books. Staying at home has made me want to read a lot.
  • Work in my journal: I didn't work in my journal as much as I'd like, but I did work in my journal.
  • Write more personal pieces for the blog: This was a fail. I do have several posts that I plan on writing and I also have the photos for the pieces. I just have to sit down and actually write (or type) the words.
  • Take more photos: I have been taking more photos, but not as much as I'd like. I think I'm going to join a few photo challenges so I can be inspired.
  • Work on 1 Awesome Ladies Project prompt or class every week: Unfortunately, this is a fail. I really need to get it together and work on a class or two.

May Goals
  • Read 5 books
  • Work in my journal
  • Write personal pieces for the blog
  • Work on 1 Awesome Ladies Project
  • Try 1 new recipe
  • Exercise 3 days a week
  • Drink more water
