Currently List #75

Hello! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently list!

Watching: I loved this show. It ended after only one season and I was so upset about that. It was nice to see a few of the episodes on television again.

Reading: As usual I caught up on some emails and read some blog posts. I also read some reviews on apps and books.

Listening: I love this song! It's so good!

Making: A bunch of my usual plans are now going to change so I have to plan the rest of my week again and finish planning stuff for the rest of the month. It's a good change, but may take some getting used to.

Feeling: The past few days have left me exhausted and nervous, but I'm also happy, excited and hopeful. I'm just going through so many emotions and can't wait until everything just settles a bit.

Planning: I'm planning on making a better exercise routine and hope to have that fixed within the next week.

Loving: I know I mentioned before that I am loving the possibilities, but I really am loving them now more than ever due to an awesome change in my family's life that occurred last week.

Currently List #74

Hello! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently list!

Watching: I caught up on TV shows. There was an episode of Law & Order that had me in tears. The latest episode of Awkward was pretty good. Bajo El Mismo Cielo is getting really good. I highly recommend this novela...it's amazing.

Reading: As usual, I'm catching up on some blog posts. Tonight, I plan to start reading The Night Circus.

Listening: This song has been on repeat for a good part of the day.

Making: Usually, I don't take this long to catch up on my Project Life album, but I've been so busy. I'm glad that I just need to add a few journaling here and there.

Feeling: Since I got a lot of stuff done early, I was able to relax for a few hours. It was just what I needed.

Planning: I haven't been working a lot in my art journal and I am not liking that at all. I think I may work in my art journal tomorrow. Speaking of my art journal, it's been months since I have blogged about my art journal. I think I plan to start doing that again within the next week.

Loving: I am beyond excited that Fall is basically here. The weather is getting cooler and there's Fall and Halloween stuff out in stores already. Pumpkins are also in stores. I may just have to buy one (or two) tomorrow.

First Day of School Layout and a Card

Hello! Happy Saturday! School may have started last month, but I'm still working on some layouts and other projects that are school related. Today, I want to share a layout I made that documents my son's first day of school. I also made a card as well that can be given to a teacher.

I used Me and My Big Ideas products for my layout. I love their new school collection and knew that they would be perfect for documenting both of my boys' first day of school. I love the glitter embellishments, the globe, and the mini crayons...so cute! And how adorable is my son! You may have noticed that I blurred out his teacher's name.

I really think that the glitter embellishments helps make the page "pop". I love how colorful the embellishments are.

I love that the embellishment packs have these little flags that you can put the date in. That globe is adorable.

I made this card using mainly Me and My Big Ideas embellishments as well, but I did use some Studio Calico gems as well. First, I used a wood apple shape and used a pencil to trace the shape onto my card. Then I put the embellishments inside the traced area. Then I used my Sharpie brush tip marker and went over the outline. I think I should have used the marker as the second step, but I kept changing my mind on whether or not to use the marker. While using the marker, I accidentally made a small mark on one of the gems.

 Products Used:

*I'm playing along with the You Rule the School linky party at Paper Issues.*

Have you been working on some Back to School projects? If so, please feel free to share.

Until next time...

Currently List #73

Hello! Usually, I post my Currently Lists on Tuesdays, but I didn't get to because I was not feeling well. My family and I got some much needed rest yesterday. So today, I want to share my currently list.

Watching: Awkward came back on about two weeks ago so I caught up on the episodes. I also had a mini Law & Order marathon.

Reading: I also caught up on on some blog posts. I didn't get to read too much during the long weekend so it was nice to catch up.

Listening: iTunes Radio is awesome. I listened to the Pure Pop station and the songs that was being played was amazing.

Making: I also spent some time catching up on some Project Life layouts. I still have a little bit to finish, but I should be caught up by the end of this week.

Feeling: I've been feeling anxious, exhausted, and pained. I had a headache for most of the day so I tried to rest as much as possible while catching up on some TV shows, blog posts, and Project Life layouts. We've all been a little exhausted because my youngest son was not feeling so well. We didn't get much sleep the past few days, but we got lots of rest on today.

Planning: I have several projects that I want and need to work on. So I'm planning to pick which ones to work on first and I'm going to try to set a deadline for myself.

Loving: There are just so many different opportunities and possibilities...I'm really excited to see what's in store. I know I'm being vague, but I don't want to jinx myself.

Hello Summer Layout

Hey! Hey! It may be September and school has already started, but I really wanted to share this Summer layout that I made. I made this layout to document my family's summer and our favorite summer treat...ice cream! I mainly used Freckled Fawn's Carnival Kit, but I did use some Dear Lizzy chipboard shapes as well. I was inspired by Kristin from Rukristin layout that was featured in Freckled Fawn's inspiration section of their website. I love how she had a little cluster of stickers in her first layout. You can see her layout here.

I put the larger embellishments and the pictures before putting down the washi tape, wood veneers, and smaller stickers. This allowed me to know where to put the smaller stickers and how much I would need to create the cluster of smaller stickers.

I adhered the blue felt letters using my Xyron sticker machine. I seriously love the heart and star stickers. I should have ordered an extra set of these. The wood veneer in the corner is adorable. I used my Tombow Xtreme adhesive. I really love how strong that glue is.

I added a bit of journaling on a card from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm printed chipboard shapes pack. How cute is that ice cream bar wood veneer?

Supplies Used:

How has your Summer been? What is your favorite ice cream or Summer treat?

Currently List #72

Hello! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently list!

Watching: Wow, the latest episode of The Last Ship was intense. It's really getting good. I still don't know how to feel about Fear The Walking Dead. Some of the characters are interesting and some...not so much. It's going to be interesting to see how Nick is going to do in the rest of the episodes since he is a drug addict. As for Alicia (Nick's sister), I just think she is kind of annoying. However, there's only been two episodes so I'm sure things will change.

Reading: I read some blog posts and read my Facebook newsfeed. My newsfeed was really interesting. I'm loving some of the memes that people were posting about the MTV video music awards.

Listening: Lana Del Rey is very talented. I swear her music is just awesome.

Making: Wow. I can't believe that September is basically here. This year is going by so so fast and I'm getting really excited for 2016. I have a lot of goals that I want to reach by the end of this year and I can't wait to try to reach some of my other goals for 2016. So I'm planning my September goals and to dos for September. I may even try to start planning the next few months as well. I'm also going to work on drafting some blog posts for September as well.

Feeling: I've been stressed a little, but I am still very hopeful. There's just so much stuff that I want to do and I feel like I try to take on too much in a short period of time. I'm learning that I need to try to take things one at time and just pace myself.

Planning: I've been making lots of layouts and cards and I still have to make some more. I plan to photograph a few and make some blog posts. I also plan to submit some projects for a design team that I want to apply to.

Loving: I'm loving all of the ideas and projects that I keep coming up with. I definitely need to make a list and try to plan on which ideas and projects to work on first.

Until next time...
