Handmade Birthday Card

Over the weekend, I made a handmade birthday card using some items in my stash. I used Crate Paper's Hello Love paper for the base. Even though this paper pad is Valentine's Day themed, I love that I can still use it for other occasions. I really love how this card turned out and I love that I can personalize it by adding someone's name beneath the word "birthday" and the next to the cupcake.

Birthday Cards-Simple Stories Birthday Pack

Hey! Hey! It's been a while since I made some birthday cards so I took some time to make a bunch. It didn't take too long to make these cards and they are super simple to make. *This post may be a bit photo heavy due to the amount of cards that I made.*

To make my cards, I used white and kraft card bases. I adhered 3x4 and 4x6 cards to the bases, but I did trim the 4x6 cards so that they would fit on the bases. Then I added some stickers, enamel dots, and a die cut onto the cards.

Birthday Card and Project Life Birthday Card

Hello! Can you believe that it's November? Halloween is over <insert sad face here>, but that's ok. The holidays are almost here and I am so excited. I have been making so many projects the past few weeks and I think it's due to the changing season. It may sound weird, but I've noticed that during the Fall, I tend to want to make a ton of projects.

I'm trying to use up my Simple Stories Snap Pack so I have been making a lot of birthday themed projects. Today, I want to share another birthday card that I made as well as a Project Life birthday card.

For this card, I used a small journaling card from Simple Stories Birthday Snap Pack. I believe it is either a 2x2 or 3x3 card. I decided to use some foam dots on the journaling card so that it would have dimension. Then I adhered it to the center of my card base. Then I added some die cuts. I used my Tombow Xtreme Adhesive to adhere the die cuts to my card.

This project life card was very simple to make. I just chose a card from the Simple Stories Birthday Snap Pack and a die cut. Then I used some foam dots on the die cut and adhered it to the journaling card. This card would be perfect to use in Project Life, mini album, or I could just make another card using this project life card.

Birthday Accordion Cards

Hello! Happy Halloween! Instead of posting a Halloween project (don't worry I will post a few more in the coming days), I decided that I want to share two Birthday accordion cards that I made a few days ago.

Most of the items that I used were from Simple Stories. I love their Snap sets because you can make cards, Project Life layouts, traditional layouts, etc. These kits really are amazing. I was running low on some birthday cards again so I made another batch.

In order to make an accordion card, I simple adhered two 4x5.5 in. cards together and then decorated the cards. For the cover of card, I used a journaling card and added a Happy Birthday sticker at the top. I left the bottom blank just in case I want to add the recipient's name. 

I decided to add a folder/pocket in each card so that I could a gift card or cash in it. I love that my gift is basically a 2 in 1 gift. This is perfect especially if I don't have enough time to get to the store to search and buy a gift. This is also perfect if you don't know what to purchase the gift recipient. You can't go wrong with a card and gift card.

I added a couple of journaling cards on the back of the accordion cards. I decided to just keep the card simple, but I may add some more enamel dots later on.

For my second card, I adhered a journaling card to my card and then used some foam dots on a 3x4 card. Then I adhered that card onto the card. I love the added dimension.

I added a blank journaling card so that I can write a message and I also added another pocket. Then I added another journaling card.

I added a few more journaling cards, but for the middle journaling card, I added a few stickers. Now I have two accordion cards that are ready to be given to their recipients.

Simple Stories SN@P Birthday Card

Today, I want to share two cards that I made last week. I really wanted and needed to make some cards, but I kept putting it off. I knew that my friend's daughter's birthday was coming up so I decided to make a batch of birthday cards. 

Supplies Used:

• Recollections Card

• Elmer's Glue Dot Runner

• Elmer's Foam Mounting Circles & Squares

I gave the card above to my friend's daughter. I used my Elmer's glue dot runner to adhere the Happy Birthday card onto the base. Then I layered the hearts onto each other. I used some foam mounting circles to stick the hearts onto the card. I love how the hearts pop up.

This is my favorite card. I took the three balloons and glued them together using the glue dot runner. I used the foam dots to pop up the balloons, the cake, and the Happy Birthday To You sign. I've thought about maybe adding the recipient's name on the bottom of the card (if and when I choose to give it away), but for now it will remain as it is pictured.

I really love the Simple Stories Birthday pack. It's perfect for Project Life layouts, traditional layouts, cards, and other projects. I definitely plan to purchase another Birthday pack as well as a few other Simple Stories packs.
