If You and I Had Coffee

If you and I had coffee...

We'd meet at Starbucks and try one of the new drinks that are available. I would probably order the mocha cookie crumble frappuccino because it is delicious. If you haven't tried it, then I would definitely recommend that drink.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I've been trying to get better at sustainability. I already use reusable bags and have been trying not to forget them at home. I recommend leaving a few reusable shopping bags in the trunk of your car or near your front door. We do have some plastic bags, but we use them for dirty diapers. I just recently purchased a couple of Starbucks reusable cups. Whenever John and I go to Starbucks, we bring our cups. I've heard that there are reusable Ziploc bags and will have to check those out. If you know of any brands or stores where I can purchase some, please let me know. I also plan to buy some steel straws for drinks. I was shocked when I learned that plastic straws cannot be recycled.

There are definitely more ways where I can improve in regards to sustainability, creating less waste, and helping the planet. I'll admit that it can be challenging to reduce waste especially when some of the products are convenient, but I think it's worth it. We all live on this planet, we might as well do our part in helping to keep it clean.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I'm really enjoying this month's theme from Riet and the Season of Inspiration by Get Messy Art Journal. I decided to combine both of these projects and am currently doing a study on Frida Kahlo.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that the boys had fun at Michael's and Raphael's birthday party. We had their party at one of those trampoline parks. They had a blast even though the venue kind of messed up a lot in regards to setting up the party. The boys didn't notice anything was wrong, and all of the kids had fun, so I'm really grateful for that.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I am so excited that school is almost over. I'm so ready for summer and can't wait to go on some adventures with my boys. I'm surprised at how fast the school year is going. The next couple of weeks is going to be so busy with school events and ceremonies.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I've been going on a lot of walks, and I love it. Raphael and I have been walking to pick up Michael and Gabriel from the bus stop. We live in a very hilly neighborhood, and some of the hills are very steep. It is most definitely a workout, but I love it. I've been bringing my Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic camera and have been taking a lot of photos on my walks.

What would you tell me?

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...

  1. If you and I had coffee, I'd ask you which new drink packs the biggest jolt. I'm all about the jolt when it comes to coffee! I'd ask you more about what went on at the trampoline park, and be interested in how you focused instead on the kids having fun. That's a big thing.

I'll tell you I'm getting through my to-do list better than ever lately, that I'm proud the Avalanche and Nuggets got so far in the playoffs, and that I'm looking forward to seeing my girls soccer team at our banquet Thursday.

    1. I just tried to focus on the fact that my boys and their friends didn't even notice anything was wrong. Their laughter made everything so much better.

I hope you all have a great time at the banquet. That sounds like fun.

  4. That drink sounds AMAZING! Gonna have to get one and give it a try. I love that you're trying to be more sustainable. I'm also working towards less waste but it's difficult. One of the big steps I'm making is taking mesh bags when I go to buy produce instead of bringing home all those flimsy plastic bags. How fun that you guys are getting some walking in! I'm trying to do that too, if this rain would ever let up! Thanks for joining the coffee date this month!

    1. It is so good! I hope it will stop raining for you all. I love the rain, but it can get so annoying when it rains for more than a few days.

  5. Ooh, mocha cookie crumble sounds delicious! I like going on walks around my neighbourhood too, we’re also in a hilly area so it’s good exercise. That trampoline party sounds like so much fun, just the sort of thing I would have loved when I was little! Lovely to have coffee with you, Emi!
