If You and I Had Coffee

If you and I had coffee...

We'd meet up at Starbucks and try one of the seasonal drinks. I've been drinking a lot of toasted white chocolate mochas. It's the perfect winter/Christmas drink. We'd also get a couple of pastries and enjoy staying indoors. The weather has been a bit unpredictable, so who knows if it's going to be too cold or not.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I said goodbye to breastfeeding, and I'm still having some mixed feelings about it. I know that it was time to stop, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't been a bit difficult. Thankfully, Raphael is doing fine, and he was only a little upset during the first couple of days. I think it bothered me more than him. The physical and emotional pain was almost too much. The emotional pain was the worst.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I am so excited about the upcoming holidays, especially Christmas. As soon as Halloween was over, I was in full Christmas mode. I've already started my holiday shopping. No procrastinating over here!

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I'm really starting to think about writing on other platforms. I've been enjoying being a contributor for the Atlanta Area Moms Blog. I'm thinking about publishing some work on Medium and a couple of other online platforms.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that lately, my head has been filled with so many ideas. I've been writing and creating a lot in my sketchbook. I just have a lot to say, and it feels so good to put those thoughts and rambles down on paper.

What would you tell me?

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...

  1. We're opposites when it comes to the upcoming holiday season- I'm a total Grinch haha! I like getting presents for others, but I feel like the whole season is so overwhelming. Good for you for having lots of ideas- I love when creativity strikes! Ride that wave girl!

  2. That's great you want to write for other platforms; you definitely should! Aw, I'm sorry that it was rough for you to stop breastfeeding. It makes sense though, so no shame. I'm glad Raphael is doing okay though.

  3. I've been interested in trying the peppermint mocha at Starbucks. I'm not usually into the sweet drinks, but that one sounds really good. I think when to stop breastfeeding is such a personal decision and each mom differs. It snowed here last night and that totally put me in the mood for the holidays. It would be so cool if you were able to write on other platforms. I have tons of Medium drafts saved but have yet to finish editing them and post them or submit them to Medium publications. I'm such a procrastinator! I have found some great articles on making the most of publishing on Medium - especially if you plan to join the partner program and try to make some cash for your writing. I'm happy to share those if you are interested. Thanks so much for joining the coffee date this month, Emily. Hope to see you next time!
