If You and I Had Coffee

If you and I had coffee...

We'd stop at a new-to-us little, hidden coffee shop. We'd order some iced coffees or lattes and pair them with a couple of pastries. I've been on a berry kick, so I'd probably order strawberry or blueberry (maybe both) scones or mini crumb cakes.

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that the end of the school year is almost here, and I am beyond excited! In fact, it's the last week of school, and the last day will be Wednesday! My kids and I are so ready. It'll be nice to be off work for the summer. I'm excited to spend more time with my family. I have so many things that I'd like to do; one is simply relaxing. I definitely need this break to recover from this school year.

I'd tell you that I've been on a creative writing kick. I just finished up a quick post for the Atlanta Mom blog, published my piece for the Exhale blog hop, and am currently brainstorming a few pieces I hope to publish on my blog or an online publication. I'm so excited that I'm writing a lot more now. 

If you and I had coffee...

I'd tell you that I have been taking advantage of my Exhale subscription. I absolutely love Exhale. I've been looking up their writing resources and creative exercises to get ideas on some pieces. I'm even considering enrolling in a creative writing class. I'd prefer something short that can be completed over summer break, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I'd tell you that I'm currently obsessed with Starbucks' Summer Berry Lemonade Refresher. It's perfect for summer and absolutely delicious. As a Mother's Day gift, I got a paid subscription to Amy Turn Sharp's newsletter, and I've been enjoying reading the posts. I've been into brain dumps after seeing a few brain dump study guides from one of my son's classes and Chelsea's brain dump journaling style, which you can check out on her Instagram page.

I'm glad we were able to catch up. It's been a hectic month, and I was worried we'd have to skip meeting this month. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and that the month ends well for you. See you next month!
