Dreams Come True Project Life Cards

A few days ago, I received my new Sweet Stamp Shop's stamps and was finally able to use them yesterday. I decided that I wanted to try coloring in the stamped image with some watercolors. I'm still figuring things out, but it was so much fun to do.

Supplies Used:
  • Fiskars paper cutter
  • Watercolor paper
  • Cardstock paper
  • Crayola watercolor
  • StazOn ink
  • Fantastix coloring tool

I trimmed the cardstock paper down to 4x6 and began to stamp the images. I am still working on getting the map stamped nicely. The image was not coming out as clear as I would have liked and I kept having to put ink on the stamp. I'm guessing that I had to do that because of the size of the stamp. I wonder if there is a StazOn ink pad or something similar that is available in a larger size.

Below are two of the Project Life cards that I made using the stamps and watercolors. I may add some stars or more watercolors, but I'm not sure yet.

Royal Wish

I definitely plan on using these stamps a lot. I have so many ideas and projects that these stamp sets would be perfect for.

Until next time...

My Favorite Crafting Supplies

Hey! Hey! Today I wanted to share some of my favorite crafting supplies. All of the supplies below are what I use the most and are what I consider my must haves for crafting.

Enamel Dots: I love and use enamel dots in about 90% of any crafting projects that I make. They are perfect for Project Life layouts, traditional layouts, art journals, planners, and more. I usually get my enamel dots from Michaels and I also love Freckled Fawn's enamel dots as well.

Cardstock Paper: Cardstock paper and patterned paper is a must! I tend to use white card stock paper the most for my backgrounds. My favorite size of card stock papers are 8.5x11 inches and I love the 6x6 sized paper pads. I get my packs of white cardstock from Michaels.

Cards and Watercolor Cards: Since I love making cards, I always keep packs of Recollections cards and envelopes on hand. Usually I try to go for cards that are A2 sized, but lately I have been loving the 5.5x5.5 size cards. I am also loving Ranger's Distress Watercolor card stock. I tend to use these more for making Project Life cards.

Pens: I always have to have pens for journaling. I use my staedtler pens when I am not using my Project Life journaling pen.

Kits: I think having a paper crafting kit is awesome! There are so many kits out there like Studio Calico, Gossamer Blue, Cocoa Daisy as well as embellishment only kits like Freckled Fawn. I currently subscribe to Freckled Fawn and I love it! I love that I can get a stamp in the kit as well, but I recently found out that the stamps will be an add-on item. You can find more about that here.

Ink: I usually use StazOn ink, but I am still working on figuring out which inks I can use for specific techniques and projects. For instance, I recently learned that StazOn ink can be used with watercolors which is perfect since I want to make some Project Life cards and greeting cards using my new stamps.

Adhesive: Adhesives are a must have as well. I usually use Elmer's Dot Runner, but I also use Tombow's adhesive. I tend to use my dot runner for almost everything, but I do love Tombow's adhesive because it's a really strong adhesive.

Clear Stamps: I always use stamps especially clear stamps. I frequently use Heidi Swapp's mini stamps and the Project Life date stamp. I recently purchased two of Sweet Stamp Shop's stamp sets (Across the Miles and Royal Wish) and I am love them. I also purchased Rukristin's Currently List stamp

What are you favorite crafting supplies?

Currently List #48

Hello there! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: It's important to know what's going on your community and around the world.

Reading: I was so busy today and didn't get a chance to check my emails and check my Facebook newsfeed. I have no idea what it was about today, but just way too much crazy stuff was happening. My newsfeed was filled with some interesting stuff lol.

Listening: I love this song! Kimbra's songs are amazing!

Making: I want and need to finish about three weeks of Project Life layouts. Luckily, I just need to get the journaling done. Hopefully, I can finish them by the end of the week.

Feeling: It was just one of those days. You know...where you didn't get enough sleep and everyone was just annoying you.

Planning: I plan to make some Project Life cards with my new stamp sets.

Loving: I am loving my new Sweet Stamp Shop stamps that I received yesterday.  I bought the Across the Miles stamp set and the Royal Wish stamp set. Be on the lookout for some new Project Life cards in the next week or so.

Currently List #47

Hello there! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: I was able to catch up on yesterday as well as last week's episodes of The Following. This season is going to be very interesting.

Reading: A few days ago, I bought The Little Prince and Journey to the Center of the Earth. I have a ton of books to read that I already have, but I really wanted to get some children's books in my collection.

Listening: Taking it old school with a mix of songs by Oro Solido.

Making: I usually make 12x12 layouts for my Project Life album, but lately I have been loving the 8.5x11 formats. I think I might just put the smaller layouts in my PL album as well.

Feeling: I'm feeling much better physically and am feeling so content.

Planning: I plan to make some cards with my Freckled Fawn kits. I may even make a few layouts as well.

Loving: I got my March Freckled Fawn kit and I am so excited! I love that I can make several layouts and cards with each kit.

What's on your Currently List? Feel free to share!
