Currently List #32

Hello, hello! Hola! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: Ah, only one more week left until the finale of Reina de Corazones.

Reading: Let's just say that my Facebook newsfeed has been very interesting today.

Listening: This song is just simply amazing. It never, ever gets old.

Making: So I'm making a scrapbooking/crafting supply list of things that I need to buy as well as wish list.

Feeling: It's been an extremely long day already and staying up late did not help either.

Planning: I have a lot of supplies for December Daily and 30 Days of Lists, but I need to figure out whether to make a completely separate album or include both of the projects in my Project Life album. I have a really cute 25th and Pine mini journal that I could use for 30 Days of Lists, but I really do not want to have 3 different albums. I may just combine my December Daily with my Project Life album and maybe use the 25h and Pine for my 30 Days of Lists.

Loving: Sweater weather is simply the best!

12 Things About Me Layout

Hello there! I have been having a blast with my Doodlebug Design Take Note kit that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I made a shaker card which you find here. A few days ago, I made a layout using the collection.

Supplies Used:
I know I must have mentioned this before, but I really love the colors in the Take Note collection. It just looks great on the white card stock. Below you can see the facts/questions on the scallop circles.

Below you can see my responses and facts underneath the scallop circles. I like that I was able to hide the answers rather than just putting it on top. I love the glitter letters as well. I actually planned to use Thickers or alphas similar to those, but I didn't have any on head so I decided to use the alphas that came with the Doodlebug kit.

Thanks for stopping by. What have you been creating lately? Feel free to share.

Until next time...

Art Journal--Thankful

Hello there! Today I wanted to share two pages from my art journal. October was kind of a stressful month so I am glad that this month has been much better. Due to so much stuff happening, I had to push back several things on my to do list. Even though there were things that happened that were out of my control, I realized today that I just need to pause, breathe, and then keep on moving.

I really like this page. As I said before, I definitely needed to press pause. I used the new Heidi Swapp Project Life Interchangable Stamp as well as the Heidi Swapp clear magic medium and some color shine. I was actually surprised that that interchangeable stamp had ink in it.

For my second page, I used some of the Heidi Swapp mini stamps and stamped the words onto the page. The only thing that is in my handwriting is the ampersand. I also used Stazon ink for the first time and I love it! I definitely need to find a new cleaner for the Stazon ink because it did stain some of my stamps.

Despite having a few rough weeks, I still think it is very important to be thankful and grateful everyday. We all have our bad and stressful days, but it's important to remember that there will be other days that will be awesome. There is always someone out there that has it worse than we do so we need to be grateful for what we have. So for anyone who is having a bad day, just remember that things will get better.

Until next time...

Currently List #31

Hello there! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: I don't watch Tosh. O often, but this show is absolutely hilarious.

Reading: I caught up on some blog posts from some of my favorite bloggers. Hopefully, I can get started on The Graveyard Book today. This book was recommended by Kristin over at My Life as a Teacup for her book club. The book for this month is The Golem and the Jinni, but I haven't purchased that book yet.

Listening: I love love love this song. Definitely on the top of my playlist.

Making: I finally finished this scrapbook layout that I made using Doodlebug Take Note collection. I plan to make a post about it in the next few days.

Feeling: I'm feeling very happy. It's been a great day. I went to my oldest son's Thanksgiving lunch with my husband and my youngest son. The kids are just too cute and the teachers are awesome.

Planning: I still have to work on some blog projects and blog posts. Hopefully, I can get a lot of this stuff done by the end of the month.

Loving: So far this month has been amazing!

Art Journal--Stars & Outlander

Hello there! So today I wanted to share two pages from my art journal. Even though Halloween is over and the finale of Outlander aired a few weeks ago, these two things are still on my mind. So I of course decided to use that in my art journal.

I have fallen in love with Outlander and the show's opening theme song is amazing. So I chose to write some of the lyrics down. I used watercolors and my Sharpie brush tip marker.

For my next page, I used Heidi Swapp's color shine mist in black velvet, white acrylic paint, and a Heidi Swapp stencil. I am kind of messed up on a few of stars because I accidentally moved the stencil. So I decided to put a 3x4 journaling card that I made out of white card stock. I ended up using some more of the color shine on the journaling card and added the cat. I purchased the little cat embellishment from Walmart...apparently it's supposed to be confetti, but I thought it would be perfect on some journaling cards and handmade greeting cards.

It was fun using some new products and trying new techniques. I definitely plan to to use these techniques again.

Until next time...

Currently List #30

Hello! Hello! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: I am a little sad that this novela is almost over. I think there is only a few weeks left.

Reading: I had several blog posts to catch up on as well as some articles.

Listening: Every time I listen to Mad World, it makes me want to watch Donnie Darko. I also heard Taylor John Williams' cover of the song on iTunes and it was amazing.

Making: I really don't want to be behind on my Project Life album again so I made sure to set some time to work on it today. I also think that I am going to change up my album again. I definitely plan to keep it a hybrid, but I have decided that it's ok not to have two pages every week. So some weeks, I may have just one pocket page instead of a traditional scrapbooking page with it. I may also have two pocket pages here and there.

Feeling: Despite having a horrible headache, I am very happy. I got some good news today so that helped change my mood.

Planning: I'm making some plans to change my blog's layout and I am planning to work on some blog posts.

Loving: I seriously love Doodlebug Designs' Take Note collection. It's an older collection, but I love it! I made a shaker card that you can find here. I also made an accordion mini album.

Thank You Shaker Card

Hello there! So yesterday, I didn't get a chance to post my art journal pages. I will be posting my pages next week along with my new pages as well.

So I have been obsessed with shaker cards and I love how you don't have to embellish shaker cards a lot. A simple window with sequins, microbeads, mini wood veneers, etc. along with a stamp can make a shaker card pop which is awesome. Since I got a new Doodlebug Designs kit, I just had to make one. So today, I want to share a shaker card that I created.

I made a shaker card using Doodlebug Designs Take Note papers from the 6x6 pad. I also used Grafix Clear Film for the window and some sequins. The stamp is from one of Heidi Swapp's mini stamp sets.

I love the colors in the Take Note collection! I'm amazed at how many different projects I can make with this kit. I definitely plan to make some more shaker cards soon.

Until next time...

Currently List #29

Hello there! It's Tuesday and it's time for another Currently List!

Watching: Oh Lifetime movies...they are just too awesome!

Reading: As usual I'm catching up on blog posts. I need to make time to read some books.

Listening: Dance with me tonight is seriously an amazing song. I love it and it makes me want to swing dance even though I'd probably fall on my face trying to do it!

Making: The past week or so has been really crazy so I haven't been able to plan my weeks correctly like I usually do. So tonight, I plan to make my to do lists, errands, plans in my planner. I really hate feeling disorganized.

Feeling: I'm feeling pretty content right now even though I haven't had a lot of sleep during the past week. Today was a good day.

Planning: I've been wanting to make some handmade bookmarks since I bought a new book and there are a ton of other books that I need to catch up on.

Loving: It has been cold for a couple of days now so I am loving my blanket and my heater. I'm surprised how cold it has gotten so far and it's only early November.
